Replace shock absorbers - both sides rear
Note: Only replace
shock absorbers in pairs. Use shock absorbers from "Aftersales"
relevant to vehicle version and equipment package when replacing
shock absorbers.
When lifting at the jacking points on the vehicle, take care that
all rear axle bolts and the contact points for the centring device
remain accessible.

Remove rear wheels.

Unscrew 10x or 8x wheel bolts
Note: Mark position
relative to wheel hub

Loosen wheel arch protective lining
|
3. |
Remove wheel arch protective lining
• |
Unscrew 5x nuts (arrows)
|
• |
Remove protective lining
|
|
|
4. |
Place hydraulic jack in conjunction with CH-48374 (4) on rear axle.

Remove shock absorber
• |
Unscrew 2x bolt (1), (2) top
|
|
|
|
6. |
Install shock absorber
• |
Tighten lower bolt 90 Nm
|
• |
Tighten 2x new bolts top 55 Nm +
60° + 15°
|

7. |
Install wheel arch protective lining
• |
Insert protective lining
|
|
8. |
Attach wheel arch protective lining
|
9. |
Detach wheel arch protective lining rear right outside
|
10. |
Remove wheel arch protective lining right
• |
Remove wheel arch protective lining
|
|
11. |
Lower hydraulic jack in conjunction with CH-48374 and remove
|
12. |
Attach rear wheels
• |
Tighten 10x or 8x wheel bolts 110
Nm
