Headlamp Leveling Rear Suspension Height Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

3. Disconnect electrical connector (1).

4. Remove headlamp leveling rear suspension height sensor (2).
5. Remove headlamp leveling rear suspension height sensor bolt (1).

Installation Procedure

1. The push nut (1) which must be assembled to the sensor must be assembled in the correct direction and position (arrow).
2. Confirm correct fit of push nut (1) by a push/pull operation and a tactile and audible "click".

3. Install headlamp leveling rear suspension height sensor (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Note:  The headlamp leveling rear suspension height sensor must be positioned in a vertical plane (arrow).
4. Install headlamp leveling rear suspension height sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 4 N·m (35 lb in) .

5. Connect electrical connector (1).
6. Lower the vehicle.
8. After repairs, refer to Control Module References for programming and set up procedures.
9. Aim the headlamps after installation. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .
